“Great DJs usually either command or serve,” says Robbie. “I try to do both; the ideal is to play great music at the perfect times, mixed seamlessly.”
His talent stems from his love of technology, using multimedia to evoke emotionally fun experiences by connecting his heart & humor with the ear of the audience. When asked to describe his sound, Robbie beams “I stay current in different genres and I tailor my sound to the crowd, whether we are there to dance, cruise, or be silly with our friends.”
With his roots at The Bourbon Pub / Parade dance club in New Orleans, Robbie’s electric sound has brought depth to dance floors and street festivals throughout North America.
Career highlights include the Dore Alley Street Fair and the main stage of Pride in San Francisco, Market Days and IML in Chicago, and Mardi Gras,
Southern Decadence and Halloween in New Orleans.
DJ Hotdog Water is Robbie’s newest project, playing a more jumbled up menagerie of silly tracks and 90s throwbacks, mixed with mashups of underground house and techno with todays queerest club hits.
